The HSA 30 battery-powered hedge trimmer is our lightest hedge trimmer yet. It's ideal for smaller hedge trimming tasks around the garden, such as annual maintenance cuts and keeping topiary in check. As part of the AS System of battery-powered tools, it uses the STIHL AS 2 battery which can be used in all of the other tools in the AS System, including our GTA 26 pruner, SEA 20 vacuum and FSA 30 grass trimmer.

On a full charge of the AS 2, the HSA 30 has a working time of up to 50 minutes, and it's easy to check how much charge you have left too; simply press the button on the side of the tool.

The HSA 30 has a 45cm cutter bar and a cutting capacity of 8mm. It also has a tip protector fitted to protect the blades when cutting close to the ground. The blades themselves are laser-cut and diamond-ground to be durable, as well as giving a precise finish on your hedges. The HSA 30 is a great option if you're looking for a light hedge trimmer that still delivers a great finish on your hedges.

* Rake and container – Recommended Hedge trimmers do not collect the material that they cut, so you will need a rake and a container to collect and dispose of debris.

HOW TO USE IT

Before starting, check your hedge for wildlife.
Use two hands to guide the blade along the growth that you want to cut.
